Football Betting: Under/Over 2.5 Explained.

I do get a lot o messages from my friends and readers of my blog, what under/over 2.5 is. Especially those who Subscribe to our weekly picks HERE on under and over 2.5 goals. Well today am gonna show you the different today..just keep reading.

Betting on Goals

Betting on Goals allows you to win money without having to predict who will actually win the match. The number of Goals produced per match is a much more reliable - and profitable – strategy than predicting who will score them.

Over Under betting is based on the total goals of a game. Generally in football, the bookmakers set 2.5 goal as the line and the punters choose Under 2.5 goals (no-score, 1 goal and 2 goals) or Over 2.5 goals (3 goals or more).

There is no draw (push) possibility for this bet. It means you will win or lose your stake at the end of 90 minute time. You have 50% chance to win the bet. No extra-time or penalty shoot outs after 90 minute counts for this type of bet.

Football Over Under 2.5 goals example

Arsenal v Aston Villa-> Under 2.5 Goals = @1.95 | Over 2.5 Goals = @1.90

* Consider that you bet N100 on Under 2.5 goals. If the game ends with 0,1 or 2 goals in total at the end of 90 minutes, your stake will return as N195.

It means you have N195-N100 = N95 profit. If the game ends with 3 or more goals in total, you lose your stake.

For some games, the bookmakers offer under/over 3 goals. It means you will get your stake back if the game ends with 3 goals.

What am trying to say is that this is a straightforward bet on the match producing Under or Over 2.5 Goals in total during the game (both teams' totals added together). Of course, you cannot have 0.5 of a Goal – this simply means there has to be a definite outcome.

Matches with 2 goals or less means an Under 2.5 bet wins. Matches with 3 goals or more means an Over 2.5 wins.

So scores of 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 0-2 or 2-0= Under 2.5 Goals. Scores of 2-1, 2-2, 3-1, 3-2 and so on = Over 2.5 Goals.
